IS THE PRACTICE ESTABLISHED AND EXPERIENCED?

 

Dr.James Nager, DMD and Dr. John Lapidus ,DMD have been practicing dentistry for over 25 years. Additionally, both doctors serve as clinical instructors at Harvard University and associate clinical instructors at Boston University.

 

 

AM I A CANDIDATE FOR ORAL CONSCIOUS SEDATION?

 

Patients must between the ages of 18 and 65 with no more than 2 compromised health issues ,( ie.. diabetes, high blood pressure, etc..). If a patient has medical issues such as diabetes and/or high blood pressure, these conditions must be managed and under control. 

 

  

ARE THERE MANY PEOPLE FEARFUL OF DENTISTRY?

 

National statistics reveal that over 30% of the population have avoided dental procedures that impact their oral health and appearance due to fear and/or anxiety.

 

 

CAN I TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ORAL CONSCIOUS SEDATION IF I SIMPLY JUST DON'T HAVE THE TIME FOR MULTIPLE VISITS?

 

Absolutely. For many of us there are not enough hours in the day. Oral Conscious Sedation Dentistry now offers a viable option for patients whose time is at a premium.The process allows the dental team to accomplish multiple procedures in a just one visit. Your dental and/or cosmetic treatments are completed while you relax in a comfortable and safe environment.

 

 

WILL I NEED A RIDE TO AND FROM THE APPOINTMENT?

 

Yes , you will need a driver and we recommend confirming their arrival time the night before the procedure.

 

HOW WILL I FEEL DURING THE PROCEDURE?

 

While our patients are never asleep , they are extremely relaxed and completely comfortable during the entire procedure.

 

 

IS THERE SOMEONE WITH ME THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PROCEDURE?

 

Yes.  Your assigned sedation team will monitor and assist you and only you for the entire procedure.  We are available 24 hours a day if you have any questions or concerns after you arrive home.

 

 HOW WILL I FEEL THE NEXT DAY?

 

Most patients feel no discomfort or residual effects the following day. A member of your clinical sedation team will be in touch with you the following day to continue to monitor you progress and recovery.
